Actress Scarlett Johansson has a new concert buddy.

Johansson was spotted with Justin Long in Los Angeles on Wednesday attending a show by U.S. singer/songwriter Iron and Wine, but Johansson’s spokesperson insists the relationship is strictly platonic, and gossip suggesting the pair is an item is false.

The representative tells People.com, “They’re friends. They’ve worked together. They’re not dating.”

Johansson split from her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds, last year. Long is Drew Barrymore’s on-off boyfriend. The pair starred in the 2009 romantic comedy He’s Just Not That Into You.

It was all easy, breezy, beautiful CoverGirls — such as Taylor Swift, Drew Barrymore and Queen Latifah — in West Hollywood on Thursday night. A bevy of the brand’s spokesgals and celebrity admirers turned up to celebrate the makeup line’s 50th anniversary.

At Boa, the swank steak joint just below Soho House, cocktails and cookies were passed to the likes of “Glee” stars Amber Riley and Cory Monteith, a sherbet-colored Barrymore (right), Justin Bieber‘s lady friend Selena Gomez and “Private Practice” star Kate Walsh.

Without question, the room revolved around Portia and Ellen DeGeneres, who were all smiles and super affectionate as they worked the room.

Just as affectionate but perhaps less sought after were a sweet Kendra Wilkinson and football-playing hubby Hank Baskett (her post-baby body is a solid 10 by now, FYI).

Kyle Richards of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” schmoozed near a CoverGirl photo booth with an army of seasoned models — such as Niki Taylor, Rachel Hunter and Cheryl Tiegs, and reality girls Lauren Conrad and Whitney Port

The shindig came on the heels of the People’s Choice Awards after party at the Conga Room — a first stop for folks such as Walsh — where Ultimat vodka toasted nominees and winners.

Drew Barrymore just bought a house–actually, mansion would be the word–nearly next door to Oprah Winfrey.

Wouldn’t half the world like to be next-door neighbors with Oprah? Don’t we sometimes feel we already are?

No, this is not in ice-bound Chicago; this real estate is located in Montecito, California near Santa Barbara, says Comcast.net. It’s just a reasonable drive up the coast from Los Angeles.

A real bargain at $7-M, says Mail Online, this estate should keep Drew comfortable for a while. Montecito happens to be one of the wealthiest neighborhoods in America. Think they have block parties in the ‘hood? Not likely, but the tone could make up for any such defects.

Besides Winfrey, Drew Barrymore’s neighbors include Jeff Bridges, George Lucas, Rob Lowe, John Cleese, Julia Lois-Dreyfus, Kirk Douglas and Billy Baldwin. Did we forget Steve Martin? And, to add a bit of political color, Al Gore.

AILING Zsa Zsa Gabor wants Drew Barrymore to play her in a movie about her life.

Insiders say the 93-year-old Hollywood legend — who’s bouncing back from her recent near-brush with death — had her people get Barrymore on the phone and told her, “I want you, and only you, dahlink, to play me in the movie they’ll make about my life!”

“Zsa Zsa laid it right on the line, telling Drew it was her ‘dying wish’ for her to accept the role,” a source told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

“Drew told her she was flattered, and that she would accept.”

Recent reports claimed Barrymore and her on/off boyfriend Justin Long have adopted a dog together to practice for when they have kids.

“Drew jokes that they’re practicing for when they have kids,” a source said.

Drew’s 16-year-old Labrador-mix Flossie passed away in July, leaving the actress devastated.

“Justin knew how much Flossie meant to her. He was really there for her,” the source added.

Hollywood couple Drew Barrymore and Justin Long are apparently getting ready for parenthood – by adopting a pet dog.

The red carpet regulars have taken in a pooch in order to try to heal Barrymore’s broken heart after her beloved canine Flossie passed away.

Now the new arrival – reportedly named Douglas – has become the on-off duo’s substitute baby.

“Drew jokes that they’re practicing for when they have kids,” a source close to the star – who, at 35, is three years older than her Going the Distance co-star – said.

And they aren’t the only double act from the silver screen to co-parent a pet. Adam Brody and Rachel Bilson, who played couple Seth Cohen and Summer Roberts in hit teen drama The OC, took in pooch Penny Lane together, while Orlando Bloom and his former flame Kate Bosworth also rescued dogs as a team, although they have now separated.

Drew Barrymore took a brief swim Friday in the harbor seal tank at the Alaska SeaLife Center in Seward, which was closed for the day while “Everybody Loves Whales” crew did some shooting there. The Seward Phoenix Log reports Barrymore’s dip will be just a “blink” in the final film. A stunt double did more work for the underwater scene in the movie based on the 1988 Barrow whale rescue.

The film’s production company chose the SeaLife Center due to the availability of its large harbor seal tank, which offered access to underwater filming from the viewing area.

Barrymore wasn’t initially scheduled to be included in the shoot, according to Linck, who explained that Friday was her planned day off. She later decided to head down and shoot part of the scene herself.

“Drew is a professional like that. She knows you can’t fake it,” Linck said, adding that she tried to do as much acting as possible, instead of depending upon a double.

Everybody loves whales by Bryan Alexander

The movie hope of Alaskans rests on the shoulders of one driven, spunky woman. No, it’s not Sarah Palin (or her “Dancing With the Stars” daughter Bristol).
The personality officials believe will bring a new dawn of prosperity is none other than Drew Barrymore.

Alaska, long a fictional setting but not oft-used shooting locale, is in the midst of an economic boost thanks to Barrymore’s Universal Features film “Everybody Loves Whales” about a 1998 rescue for three gray whales trapped in Arctic ice.

“We wouldn’t be ‘Hollywood North.’ Vancouver claims that. We’d be ‘Hollywood Far North,’” state Senator Johnny Ellis told Reuters.

Ellis wrote the legislation in 2008 establishing a special tax credit for big movies. The legislation also helped resurrect a state film office.

Besides the hotel industry getting more business thanks to visiting film crews, locals lucky enough to be hired as extras also get extra money lining their pockets. Alaska has proved a problematic location in the past due to its remoteness (and well, it’s cold as heck up there), but the tax incentive is providing an enticing bridge between Anchorage and Hollywood.

“It’s dollars and cents,” David Linck, unit publicist for “Everybody Loves Whales,” admitted.

In the past, Alaska has had some high-profile stand-ins. “Northern Exposure” was shot in Washington state and Sandra Bullock’s “The Proposal,” which was set in Sitka, Alaska, was filmed in Massachusetts.

“There’s a long, sad history of Alaska losing out. But I hope we’re starting to change that,” Ellis said.

Barrymore’s film is joined by Discovery Channel’s “The Deadliest Catch” and former Gov. Palin’s new TLC series. Alaska may be getting its Hollywood Far North Wish after all.

Says Ellis: “Alaska is the talk of the nation, in many ways, good and bad. But most of it good.”

The 10th Annual Stony Awards, produced by High Times and celebrating “high moments in film and TV,” took place in Hollywood last night. He also accepted, along with Rob Corddry and director Steve Pink, the Stony Award for best movie: Hot Tub Time Machine, which revolved around guys going back in time after partying in a hot tub.

Stoner of the Year went to John Cusack (whose character smoked pot in Hot Tub), while Stonette of the Year went to Drew Barrymore (whose character did bong hits in Going The Distance). Neither appeared to accept the award.
